Multiple Instrument Adapter

The Multiport Instrument Adapter (MIA) provides access to up to 3 to 5 instruments, depending on configuration, from the comfort of a warm room or from remote access.

• Mounts to standard instrument bolt pattern on working end of telescope
• Provides standard bolt patterns for other instruments
• Translating, rotating diagonal mirror
• Integrated and standardized controls for all instruments
• Provides instrument common functions of acquisition and guiding
• May be used with eyepiece, CCD camera, spectrograph, or autoguider, etc.
• Direct imaging filter cassette for selected research-grade filters
• Controllers configured to operate CCD Camera, spectrograph, or photometer
• Allows guiding from spectrograph slit jaws and decker
• Illuminated reticle eyepiece
• X-Y stage with probe for guide-acquire camera or eyepiece
• Position of probe displayed on telescope control system display
• Motors only powered when moving for minimum heat generation
