CCT-40  Classical Cassegrain 40 in. Telescope

STANDARD OPTICS:• Our typical 1.0M Classical Cassegrain has an F/3 primary mirror with an effective focal ratio between F/8 and F/18. The 100 mm field is fully shielded and unvignetted.
• Both primary and secondary mirrors have near zero expansion substrates
• Back Focus is 28 cm from mounting surface
• 2 variable, low voltage power outlets for reticles provided on optical tube assembly
• 2 AC power outlets on optical tube assembly
• Finderscope: 5 in. F/9 with 2 in. dia, 32 mm focal length eye piece and projection reticle

• 30 in. diameter friction drive in RA and 28 in. diameter friction drive in DEC
• Open structure optical tube assembly affords better "seeing"
• Steel mirror cell with multiple 12-bolt patterns per KPNO standard
• Tracking accuracy: +/- 0.5 arc seconds in 5 minutes and +/- 3 arc seconds in 1 hour
• Pointing accuracy (with refraction and alignment correction) better than 20 arc seconds RMS with 10 arc seconds being typical
• Variable set, guide and tracking rates: 0 to 3 deg./sec.
• Epoxy paint for durable, functional appearance
• Supports 200 kg instrument load with CG 36 cm behind mounting surface
