Mr. Mark Kelley, Vice President of Engineering of Longmont based
DFM Engineering, Inc., celebrates his 30th Anniversary
on January 1, 2012.
Mark Kelley
is responsible for designing telescope control system software. His expertise is extensive.
He works closely with customers in determining control room specifications, computer requirements
and implementation and installation of DFM's Telescope Control System.
He specializes in mechanical and software design and
testing, instrument performance with detailed documentation, electronic fabrication supervision,
and installation administration.
Mr. Kelley is instrumental in designing, building, testing,
and retrofitting telescopes at DFM Engineering. Computer Control Systems developed and perfected
by Mr. Kelley are incorporated into many electro-optical mechanical instruments manufactured
and installed by DFM Engineering, Inc.
Mr. Kelley's first project with DFM Engineering was to profide Mechanical Engineering services
for a very large telescope project: the 2.4 Meter Hiltner telescope located at Kitt Peak, AZ. He
also assisted in the installation.
Mr. Kelley is instrumental in the success of the company and is very much appreciated.
